Williamstown 135 --Caption title. Width of road: 40 ft. Traveled way: width 34 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 11 in., soft, loamy gravel 2 in. deep material: loamy gravel on hard gravel base sides: right, stone wall rises 2 ft., left, grass bank slopes down to gutter then up gutters: right, 14 in. deep, left, 3 ft., 6 in. deep sidewalks: right, 2 ft. wide, 3 ft. below gutter, left, none. Remarks: Travelled way has lately been re-surfaced with loamy gravel. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
