Orange 175 --Caption title. Width of road: 30 ft. Traveled way: width 26 ft., grade 2 ft. per 100. Surface: Flat, soft, loose stones. Loose sand 3 in. deep material: sand on gravel base sides: right, slopes down from edge of travelled way, left, slopes up from edge of travelled way gutters: right, slope down, left, slope up sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Travelled way is flat, and would be good if loose sand and stones were removed from surface. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
