Templeton 185 --Caption title. Width of road: 25 ft. Traveled way: width 18 ft., grade 4 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, soft, loose gravel 4 in. deep material: fine gravel like sample 185, on hard gravel base sides: right, slopes up, left, slopes up gutters: right, none, left, none sidewalks: right, none, left,none. Remarks: A very poor road, for it has no drainage and is in poor repair. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
