Surface: flat, uneven, hard on right side, soft on left, with loose sand 5 in. deep material: sand and clay sides: right, rises up 7 in. then slopes down, left, slopes up from edge of travelled way gutters: right, none that road drains into, left, none sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road is very fair where clay has been put on. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
