Surface: crowned 4 in., soft, loose sand with ruts 14 in. deep material: sand sides: right, slopes up from gutter, left, slopes up from gutter gutters: right, 6 in. deep, left, 4 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: This road is in the best condition that it has been in the year, for photograph was taken in November. In summer sand is deeper. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
