Charlmont 145 --Caption title. Width of road: 9 ft. Traveled way: width 9 ft., grade 3 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, sloping to left, a little loose sand and gravel 1 in. deep material: sand and gravel on rock ledge base sides: right, slopes up natural slope, left, slopes down natural slope gutters: right, none, left, natural slope down sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road is very fair. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
