Width of road: 36 ft. Travelled way: width 6 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, soft, loose sand and gravel with ruts 8 in. deep material: sand and gravel with a little clay sides: right, slopes up from edge of road, left, slopes up from edge of road gutters: right, none, left, none sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Travelled way consists of three ruts through the sand and gravel. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
