Warren 54 --Caption title. Width of road: 40 ft. Traveled way: width 26 ft., grade 6 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 3 in., sloping to left, soft with loose stones and sand 3 in. deep material: gravel and sand sides: right, slopes up 5 ft. in 7 ft. to sidewalk, left, slopes up 3 in. to sidewalk gutters: right, none, left, 3 in. deep sidewalks: right, 2 ft. wide, 5 ft. above road, left, 5 ft wide , 5 ft. above road. Remarks: The road is being re-surfaced with sand and gravel. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
