Abstract
"For 25 years, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) has discharged treated wastewater from its Deer Island Treatment Plant in Boston through a 15 km (9 mi) tunnel into Massachusetts Bay. MWRA has supported a monitoring program to determine whether the nutrient discharge contributes to excess phytoplankton growth."--Page 2.
