Chap. 0278 An Act to authorize the city of boston to pay a certain sum of money to mary ellen flynn.

Be it enacted, etc., as follows:

Section 1. The city of Boston is hereby authorized to pay to Mary Ellen Flynn, widow of "William J. Flynn late a police officer of that city, a sum of money not ex-
ceeding one half of his annual salary : provided, that the sum hereby authorized to be paid shall not exceed the amount to which the said Fljmn would have been entitled if he had lived and continued to serve as such police officer until the first da}r of Februaiy next succeeding the date of his death.
Section 2.   This act shall take effect upon its passage.
