Chap. 0045 An Act to authorize the city of brockton to incur indebtedness beyond the limit fixed by law, for the completion of a new city hall building. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 1. The city of Brockton, for the purpose of completing its new city hall building, in addition to the amount authorized by chapter two hundred and twenty-five of the acts of the year eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, may incur indebtedness to an amount not "exceeding fifty thousand dollars outside the limit of indebtedness fixed b}r law ; and may from time to time issue negotiable bonds, notes or scrip therefor, denominated on the face thereof, Brockton City Hall Loan, 1892, signed by its mayor and city treasurer, payable in periods not exceeding thirty years from their date of issue, in fixed proportionate annual payments, and bearing interest at a rate not exceeding four and a half per cent, per annum. Section 2. The provisions of chapter twent3'-nine of the Public Statutes and of chapter one hundred and twenty-nine of the acts of the year eighteen hundred and eighty-four shall otherwise apply to the issue and sale of such securities. Section 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved March 4, 1S92.
