Chap. 652 An Act requiring a license for tiie harvesting of timber or other forest products for hire or profit on land devoted to forest purposes. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Chapter 132 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding at the end the following section: — Section 46- No person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of harvesting timber or other forest products for hire or profit shall cut such products on land devoted to forest purposes without first obtaining a license so to do from the director, who is hereby authorized to issue such licenses. The fee for issuance of said licenses, which shall expire on June thirtieth of each year, shall be five dollars for residents and ten dollars for non-residents. Whoever violates any provision of this section shall be punished by a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars. This section shall not apply to the cutting of timber or other forest products as described in section fort}'-four. Approved August 9, 1957.
