Chap. 814. An Act providing that employees of the Massachusetts PARKING AUTHORITY SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE STATE EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 1. The paragraph defining "Political subdivision" in section 1 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as'most recently amended by section 4 of chapter 597 of the acts of 1967, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word "Authority", in line 4, the words: — , Massachusetts Parking Authority. Section 2. The fourth sentence of section 2 of said chapter 32, as most recently amended by section 6 of said chapter 597 of the acts of 1967, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word "Commission" in line 2, the words: — or of the Massachusetts Parking Authority. Section 3. Any person who is an employee of the Massachusetts Parking Authority on the effective date of this act shall, if otherwise eligible, become a member in service of the state employees' retirement system and shall, upon paying into the annuity savings fund of such system an.amount equal to five per cent of the total salary received by him during such period, plus regular interest to the date of payment, be allowed credit for all his service with said authority prior to said effective date. Section 4. The Massachusetts Parking Authority shall annually reimburse the state board of retirement for its pro rata share of any retirement allowance paid by said board during the preceding calendar year which is based in whole or in part on service with said authority.
