Chap. 0110 An Act relative to fire and life insurance policies issued in violation of law. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Chapter five hundred and seventy-six of the acts of nineteen hundred and seven is hereby amended by striking out section one hundred and fourteen and substituting the following: - Section HJf. An insurance company, or any officer or agent thereof, who makes, issues or delivers in this commonwealth a policy of fire insurance in wilful violation of section sixty, or a policy of life or endowment insurance in wilful violation of section seventy-five, as amended by chapter sixty of the General Acts of nineteen hundred and eighteen, and as affected by chapter fifty-one and section eight of chapter one hundred and twelve of said General Acts, or of said chapter one hundred and twelve, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars. A policy so issued shall be valid and binding upon the company issuing the same, but the rights, duties and obligations of the parties thereto shall be determined by the respective provisions of said sections and said chapter one hundred and twelve.
