Chap. 0071 An Act to change the westerly terminus of the eastern avenue. Be it enacted, fyc, as follows : So much of the act to incorporate the Eastern Avenue Corporation, passed on the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, as requires their bridge and avenue to run in a direct line to the foot of Summer Street, is hereby repealed ; and said corporation are hereby authorized so to change the location of their bridge and avenue, that it may run in a direct line either to Drake's Wharf or to Russia Wharf, opposite Congress Street, or to any point between said wharves: provided, such new location shall be within the commissioners' lines, and the location shall be made by said corporation, and approved by the mayor and aldermen of the city of Boston, within one year from the passage of this act; and, provided, also, that nothing contained in this act, shall in any way conflict with the provisions of the one hundred and third chapter of the Resolves of the year eighteen hundred and fifty-nine.
