Chap. 444.   An Act increasing the membership of the school committee of the town of northbridge.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the number of members of the school committee of the town of North-bridge shall be increased from six to nine.
Section 2. The three additional members of the school committee of said town shall be elected at a special town election to be held during the current year. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes at said election shall serve until the annual town election to be held in the year nineteen hundred and seventy-two. The candidate receiving the next highest number of votes shall serve until the annual town election to be held in the year nineteen hundred and seventy-one. The candidate receiving the next highest number of votes shall serve until the annual town election to be held in the year nineteen hundred and seventy. Thereafter their successors shall serve for terms of three years.
Section 3.   This act shall take effect upon its passage.
