Chap.  368.         AN   ACT AUTHORIZING   THE  APPOINTMENT. OF A

MEMBER OF THE SPRINGFIELD PRESERVATION TRUST, INCORPORATED TO THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION IN THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD.

Be it enacted,   etc.,   as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 297 of the acts of 1975 is hereby amended by inserting after section  1 the following section:-

Section 1A. Notwithstanding the provisions of section four of chapter forty C of the General Laws, the city of Springfield may, by ordinance, provide for the appointment by its mayor, subject to confirmation by the city council of said city, of a member of its historic district commission from two nominees submitted by the Springfield Preservation Trust,   Incorporated.

SECTION 2.     This act shall take effect upon its passage.
