Chap. 478. An Act permitting city and town clerks or the state SECRETARY TO OMIT THE COLOR OF A CHILD IN ISSUING COPIES OF CERTIFICATES OF BIRTH. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 19 of chapter 46 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 366 of the acts of 1950, is hereby further amended by adding the following sentence: — Upon the written request of the person to whom the record relates or of either of his parents, the clerk or assistant clerk, or the state secretary or one of his deputies, shall issue a certified copy of a birth record containing no reference relating to the color of said person or his parents.
