Chap. 0331 An Act removing the limitation on the cost of construction of a certain sea wall in the city of quincy. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Chapter four hundred and nine of the acts of nineteen hundred and thirty-eight is hereby amended by striking out the second sentence, - so as to read as follows: - Subject to the conditions herein imposed, the department of public works is hereby authorized and directed to construct a sea wall along the shore of Great Hill, so called, in the city of Quincy from a point at or about one hundred feet northerly of the property of the Quincy Yacht Club to a point at or near the property on which the pumping station of the south metropolitan sewerage system is located. For said purposes there shall be allowed and paid out of the state treasury, subject to appropriation, the sum of sixteen thousand dollars; provided, that no part of this amount shall be expended until not less than fifty-nine thousand dollars shall have been allotted for the improvement aforesaid under the provisions of any appropriate federal statute and the city of Quincy shall have paid into the state treasury the sum of sixteen thousand dollars for said improvement.
