Chap. 0454 An Act authorizing the spraying of liquids containing D.D.T., so called, or similar substance, from aircraft for the suppression of certain insects. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to enable the public authorities to proceed immediately for the purpose of eradicating insect pests, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety and convenience. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: For the purpose of suppressing those insects declared to be public nuisances the chief moth superintendent of the department of conservation may use aircraft for the spraying of liquid containing D.D.T., so called, or similar substance, over any area infested by such insect pests.
