Chap. 0292 An Act to incorporate the haskins gold pen manufacturing company. Be it enacted, §-c, as folloics : Section 1. Joseph A. Haskins, Ira C. Haskins, Henry A. Marsh, their associates and successors, are hereby made a corporation by the name of the Haskins Gold Pen Manufacturing Company, for the purpose of manufacturing pencils and gold pens in the towns of Shutesbury and Amherst; and for this purpose shall have all the powers and privileges, and be subject to all the duties, liabilities and restrictions, set forth in all general laws which now arc or hereafter may be in force, relating to manufacturing corporations. Section 2. Said corporation may hold for the purpose aforesaid, real estate to the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ; and the whole capital stock of said corporation shall not exceed one hundred thousand dollars, divided into shares of one hundred dollars each : provided, however, that said corporation shall not go into operation, or assume any liability, until twenty thousand dollars of its capital stock has been paid in, in cash. Section 8. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved May 31, 1867.
