Chap. 0075 An Act concerning Judicial Proceedings in the county of Dukes county. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : Sect. 1. In any suit now pending, or which may hereafter be brought, in the county of Dukes, wherein the inhabitants of any town in said county are disqualified by law from acting as jurors, any justice of the court of common pleas in which such action may be pending, as well in term time as in vacation, may issue an order to the clerk of said court, to issue writs of venire facias for a sufficient number of jurors to try such causes, from any town whose inhabitants are not so disqualified; and the clerk shall issue his venire facias accordingly. Sect. 2. This aet shall take effect from and after its passage. [Approved by the Governor, March 30, 1852.]
