Abstract
"The purpose of this report is to explore how, if at all, the workers' compensation system affects public employees. In particular, it will examine some of the factors differentiating public employees from their private sector counterparts. We will try to explore some of the different circumstances with respect to employees not covered by the law and to review the possible effects the statute, and the system, has for them in particular. The report will also analyze issues peculiar to the public sector which may have an impact on the administration of workers' compensation for public sector employees which is not experienced by their private sector counterparts."--Introduction.
